Feature

The Tongtai GT-800E is a high-performance Vertical 5-Axis Machining Center designed for large, complex components in the aerospace, energy, and mold & die industries. Its high-rigidity gantry structure and center-of-gravity-driven design ensure exceptional stability and accuracy during high-speed machining.

Equipped with a direct-drive A/C-axis rotary table and a 15,000 rpm built-in spindle (optional 20,000/24,000 rpm), the GT-800E delivers low-backlash positioning, outstanding surface quality, and powerful cutting performance. With 800 × 820 × 560 mm travel, it is ideal for machining impellers, blades, and other complex freeform components in a single setup.

Gantry-Style Structure

The machine adopts a gantry-style structure, allowing three-axis linear motion to remain unaffected by workpiece weight. The drive centers of all three-axis slides are aligned with the machine’s center of gravity, significantly enhancing dynamic structural stability.

Short Force Flow & Center-of-Gravity Drive Design

The X- and Z-axes adopt a short force flow design, achieving a lightweight structure while significantly enhancing cutting rigidity. The center of gravity of the Y-axis moving components is precisely positioned within the support range of the guide blocks, effectively eliminating forward tilting caused by spindle weight imbalance. This ensures excellent dynamic stability even during high-speed cutting and rapid motion changes.

Standard Linear Scales

The X/Y/Z-axis optical linear scales compensate for positioning errors caused by thermal expansion of the ball screws, as well as repeatability errors and motion inaccuracies resulting from pitch deviation. Positioning accuracy reaches ±5 μm, with an optional high-precision configuration available up to ±3 μm.

DD Direct-Drive A/C Axes

The A/C axes are driven by direct-drive (DD) motors, providing one of the most advanced solutions for high-speed machining requirements. DD motors offer key advantages such as compact size, high accuracy, high resolution, and high rotational speed.

Large-Capacity Tool Magazine

The tool magazine offers flexible configurations ranging from 32 to 80 tools to meet the demands of complex machining operations. Combined with a cam-driven high-speed automatic tool changer, it provides reliable and efficient support for high-productivity production lines.
